A Communications Dispatcher receives and transmits both routine and emergency telephone and radio traffic. The dispatcher coordinates the response of deputies and other emergency personnel. This department works in conjunction with other agencies both in county and throughout the nation to ensure the safety of the public as well as our law enforcement officers. In addition to these duties, dispatchers maintain and process a variety of communications paperwork, records and logs.
